Los Frenos firefighters trained on water shuttle and drafting operations!
These skills are most useful when we need a large volume of water in rural areas where fire hydrants are not available.
Firefighters deployed portable water tanks and drafted the water out of them using an engine company. Water shuttle operations and drafting are essential for maintaining a good water supply in rural areas with no access to hydrants which is a large portion of our district.
