Volunteer for the Los Fresnos Fire Department!

Every volunteer firefighter has their own reasons for volunteering.

Many volunteer firefighters enjoy the adrenalin rush that they get from mitigating emergencies. Others like the act of helping others in their time of need. Some simply enjoy being part of a team that is making a difference in their community. While others like the experience and skills that they learn as they prepare to become career firefighters.

Regardless of their reason for volunteering, every volunteer firefighter feels the satisfaction and sense of accomplishment when they can perform their duties and help people during difficult times.

We understand that being a volunteer firefighter is not for everyone, but we believe that it is a great way to serve the community while you learn and make new friends. If you are unsure of whether this is for you, then contact us or come by the station to get more information!

Here's what our firefighters say

”I'm Cody Taylor, I am a Los Fresnos Volunteer Firefighter, and I love every second of it. I volunteer because it allows me to give back to my community, help those in need, and make a small impact in today's world.”

- Cody Taylor, FF

”I've been fighting fires since I was 19. I've had a love for the fire service my whole life. Helping others when they're in need is my reason for volunteering, but another plus is all of the skills that I've learned over the years which help me in my everyday life.”

- Jorge Garcia, LT

”Every day, they strive to improve their service to the clients by developing the right blend of technology and creativity to make sure every job done is done as efficiently as possible.”
