Fire Prevention Week 2025

​As the week wraps up, the Los Fresnos Fire Department wants to send a HUGE thank you to all the local schools that welcomed us onto their campuses! We truly appreciate the hospitality and kindness shown by the educators and staff. It is heartening to see such dedication to the safety and well-being of the students.

We loved sharing our fire safety tips, talking about the importance of smoke alarms, and practicing "Stop, Drop, and Roll" with all the students. Your enthusiasm and attention made our presentations a success! Seeing the children so engaged and excited about fire safety reassures us that the message is getting through. It's vital to equip our youth with the knowledge and skills to keep themselves safe in case of an emergency.

​Remember, fire safety isn't just a one-week event—it’s something we need to practice every day. Keep talking about fire escape plans at home, test your smoke alarms monthly, and stay safe! It’s crucial that these lessons are reinforced consistently at home. Together, we can ensure that every child understands how to respond in case of a fire, ultimately helping to prevent tragedies.
