Los Fresnos firefighters trained on search and rescue operations!

Specifically, we practiced a rapid search technique simulating entry and rescue through a window. This technique is known as VEIS which stands for Vent, Enter, Isolate and Search.

This technique is used when access through a door is not possible due to fire conditions. If done correctly, this can potentially save a life by allowing us to remove a victim from an otherwise inaccessible area.
